Welcome to one of Girona’s best restaurants: Creperie Bretonne Annaíck. And while the city of Girona is brimming with cute little restaurants and bistros, we felt this one was definitely worth sharing. But what makes Creperie Bretonne Annaíck so special? It may as well be the precursor of the up and coming ‘bus replica’ trend. We saw another one in Thessaloniki and heard more and more are sprouting up across Europe. Let’s check this one out first as to our knowledge this is where it all started.
– Crêperie Bretonne Annaick is the first restaurant chain in Spain specializing in traditional food of Bretonne: the famous “galettes” of black wheat also called “Saracen” stuffed with savory ingredients; the usual sweet crepes, made with white wheat and spread with delicious flavors, vegetarian dishes, salads and omelets etc.
– The kitchen is located inside a rather vintage bus. However, notice how the bus is inside the restaurant! You lost me, right? In the case of Creperie Bretonne Annaíck, the bus and the restaurant are interdependent and form one single entity; you can’t have one without the other. If you’re still not sure what it’s all about, photos speak for themselves.
– The owners felt the need to keep the illusion of being inside a bus even when you visit the…restroom.
– The variety of crepes is vast. From vegetarian to meat feast, be sure you’ll find your match.
– We met our first bus replica in Girona and then visited its sister in Barcelona. The rest of the family is located in Valencia, Vigo, Figueres, Manresa and Collioure. So, if you’re in any of these locations, as the sign says, merienda* in one of the most design-detailed buses!
